Job Description

We are seeking a versatile Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team. You will bring your technical expertise to a diverse range of customer environments, supporting pre-sales and post-sales activities for our most important customers. Your day-to-day work will involve partnering with customers and prospects to help them leverage the Hydrolix data platform across a variety of cloud environments. You will also work closely with customers and partners, serve as a trusted technical advisor, help users realize their data aspirations, and accelerate their time-to-value.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing technical solution architecture engagements across pre-sales and post-sales activities, with an emphasis on pre-sales.
• Collaborate with customers to understand their business objectives, data management challenges, and specific requirements.
• Design and present solutions that demonstrate how Hydrolix can address customers’ data management, analytics, observability, and security requirements.
• Plan and execute technical demonstrations and proofs of concept where required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during evaluations, onboarding, and strategic customer engagements.
• Provide guidance to clients on dashboarding, APIs, data ingestion and transformation, and the use of Hydrolix alongside third-party tools.
• Develop and improve technical documentation, solution guides, training materials, blogs, and other resources that support customer onboarding and adoption.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Technical Account Management, Support, Product, and Engineering teams throughout the customer lifecycle.

Qualifications and Skills

• Fluency in written and spoken English. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in a technical consulting, solutions architecture, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales capacity.
• Demonstrated strong communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven capacity to effectively manage multiple projects and meet established deadlines.
• Experience with database management systems, data platforms, or database software, including proficiency in SQL.
• Familiarity and hands-on experience with one or more major cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• A solid understanding of the current observability landscape.
• A background in security, with experience using SIEM and security tooling such as Splunk.

Bonus Qualifications

• Extensive experience or professional certifications with one or more major cloud computing platforms.
• Experience supporting or selling security and observability solutions to enterprises or managed service providers.
• Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Spark, Databricks, Grafana, or similar data and observability platforms.
• Working knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or R.
• Experience with a formal sales methodology such as MEDDIC, Value Selling, or Solution Selling.
