Join our manufacturing digitalization journey and play a key role in advancing manufacturing systems and digital solutions within ASML Linkou Factory.
As a MES Engineer, you will work closely with manufacturing, planning, quality, engineering, and IT teams to improve factory applications, streamline data workflows, and support manufacturing system enhancements. You will help transform legacy tools and manual processes into scalable, sustainable, and secure digital solutions that align with modern IT architecture and cybersecurity standards.
This role is ideal for professionals with a combination of manufacturing domain knowledge, MES or factory system experience, software development capability, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
This position is a Taiwan local hire and is based onsite at the Linkou Factory. The role follows a Monday-to-Friday onsite work model, enabling close collaboration with factory teams.
Role and responsibilities
Manufacturing Systems & MES Solutions
Analyze existing manufacturing systems, workflows, and factory applications to identify improvement opportunities.
Design, develop, and implement solutions to replace legacy tools and manual processes.
Support MES-related projects and manufacturing system enhancement initiatives.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with system architecture, governance, and cybersecurity requirements.
Participate in system integration discussions and provide manufacturing domain expertise.
Application Development & Process Automation
Develop and maintain manufacturing applications using technologies such as C#, Python, SQL, or other suitable platforms.
Implement automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual work.
Support data collection, processing, and reporting solutions across factory operations.
Design and maintain dashboards and data visualization solutions using Spotfire or other BI tools.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Partner with manufacturing, planning, quality, and engineering teams to understand operational challenges and system requirements.
Translate business needs into technical requirements and digital solutions.
Support solution testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), deployment, and user training activities.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through digitalization, process optimization, and data-driven decision making.
Prepare documentation, user guides, and technical specifications to ensure long-term maintainability of solutions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
Experience in MES, manufacturing systems, factory applications, smart manufacturing, or related environments.
Hands-on programming experience with C#, Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations, production processes, and factory workflows.
Experience working with databases, data integration, reporting tools, or manufacturing-related applications.
Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand user requirements and translate them into sustainable technical solutions.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good English and Mandarin communication skills for global collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MES, CIM, manufacturing execution environments, or factory automation systems.
Experience with Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence and visualization tools.
Knowledge of manufacturing system architecture, software design principles, and data flow design.
Experience in factory digitalization, Industry 4.0, or smart manufacturing initiatives.
Experience with API integration, system interfaces, and application development lifecycle management.
Experience supporting end users, conducting UAT, and delivering user training.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement (CI), or structured problem-solving methodologies.
Semiconductor industry experience is highly preferred.
