Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist- Multispecialty, Greenlawn, Long Island, New York, Full Time, Days

The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols.

1.Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders.

2.Communicate information pertaining to referrals and/or precerts to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol.

3.Performs other related duties.

• High School graduate or equivalent
• No experience is required, 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred as follows:

1. Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals is preferred.

2. Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals.

3. Understands the concept of PCP and referrals protocols as defined by Insurance Carriers.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $20.60 - $28.91 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
