Your Role
Based in Melbourne, you will own and grow a dedicated Education South (VIC, SA, TAS, New Zealand) sector portfolio, driving strategic engagement across universities, private education providers, schools, childcare organisations and broader education-related institutions. This is a highly autonomous role suited to a commercially driven relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities, opening doors and developing long-term partnerships to position Thales Cyber as a trusted cybersecurity partner.
This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in one of Thales Cyber’s key growth sectors. You'll have the autonomy to shape your market, leverage the strength of a globally recognised cybersecurity leader and partner with some of Australia's most respected education institutions.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop and execute strategic account and territory plans across the Education sector
Grow and expand a portfolio of active accounts and new business opportunities
Establish and strengthen executive-level relationships across universities, private education providers and other education organisations
Understand client priorities and align cybersecurity solutions to their operational, regulatory and risk management objectives
Position Thales Cyber as a strategic partner by uncovering opportunities for long-term transformation programs and multi-year engagements
Collaborate with technical, solution and delivery teams to create compelling client outcomes
Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM discipline and pipeline management to consistently achieve sales targets.
We're looking for a proactive, commercially astute sales professional with credibility across the Education sector and a passion for building relationships that drive growth.
You'll be successful if you have:
An understanding of cybersecurity, technology, or digital transformation solutions, and the ability to connect these to sector-specific challenges and business outcomes
Proven expertise within the education sector, with the ability to translate organisational challenges into tailored cybersecurity solutions
Strong industry relationships and a thorough understanding of the evolving needs, priorities, and decision-making drivers of education organisations
Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities while growing and retaining existing accounts
Demonstrated success managing complex sales cycles and engaging multiple stakeholders across the decision-making process.
If you're a strategic seller with strong Education sector credibility and enjoy turning relationships into long-term business opportunities, we'd love to hear from you.
