This is a job posting for Network Management Engineering within Solution Area Network Management, where we develop and maintain competitive offerings that support our Networks. Network Management Engineering is responsible for products for Network Management, Resource Orchestration and Automation domains.

About this opportunity:

Agile Line Manager is a pivotal role within NM Engineering Core and Cradle organisations. We are now looking for a line manager within the DG NM1 organisation who will set the standards for continual improvement within the unit. The Agile Line Manager is typically responsible for 2-3 Agile Development Teams and reports directly to the overall leader of the unit in which they operate. You will look after individual and team resourcing, tactical and strategic competence development. You will have a strong technical/product development background and be able to discharge the role of “Design Owner” in the organization for a specific set of products. You are an agile, dynamic and result focused leader who empower teams to achieve the solution and organization objectives. You are interested in Lean and how it can be applied in our operations. You are a keen learner and always work across the company to drive more efficiency and effectiveness. You support the organization to Align ways of working to increase speed, ensure quality and improve customer happiness.

What you will do:

• Act as design responsible for the domain areas within scope • You will be responsible for the establishment of new teams and transfer of product • You will act as a remover of impediments to the effective operation of the teams and act as support and critical issue point for the Scrum Masters in this regard. • You will act as an external interface for the teams towards non Agile functions e.g. Finance, HR, IT etc. • You will be responsible for the tactical proficiency of the team and the members on the team. • You will work with the team, the Scrum Master and the Product Owner to ensure that teams have the training and other competence development inputs which they require. • You will be empowered to handle and drive the progression of individual team members in important aspects of Agile, such as multi-skilling. • You will be accountable for ensuring that the teams are adequately resourced with the vital numbers of developers and the needed mix of experience and skills. • Continuously seeks ways to improve the functioning of the group and the operation of the Agile processes. • Maintain a strong understanding of ongoing developments in Agile thinking, PDU business strategy, competitor environment and product evolution. • Will advance the understanding and use of flow efficiency.

The skills you bring:

• Domain-relevant development experience in both engineering and management activities. • Experience in relevant Agile roles (Scrum Master, Product Owner etc.). • A strong background in technology team management. • A proven track record in competence and performance management. • Well developed leadership and problem-solving skills. • Strong oral, interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. • Strong mentor skills and the ability to understand and develop key aspects of emotional intelligence in self and in others!
