Job purpose: 

 

The purpose of the role is to implement engineering solutions, under supervision, for: 

 

  • Process Control 
  • Safety Instrumented Systems 
  • Human Machine Interface 

 

on industrial process automation projects in industries like: Oil & Gas, Refining, Petrochemicals, Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, Specialty Chemicals, etc. 

 

  • The types of projects are: 
  • Greenfield – new development based on EPC specifications.
  • Legacy / Release migrations – migrations from old Honeywell systems to the new ones.
  • Competitive migrations – migrations from competition to Honeywell systems. 

 

  • The scope of the projects might also include 3rd party integration, SCADA, PLC programming and migrations, System engineering, Cyber Security, Networking and Virtualization.

 

 

Roles and responsibilities

 

  1. SPECIFIC responsibilities - main activities:
  • Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule and budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
  • Executes work assignment under supervision at the appropriate standards and quality: 
  • Control: DCS (C300 controller, Control Edge PLCs, HPM) implementation.
  • Safety: SIS (ESD, BMS, F&G) logic implementation using Safety Manager and Fail Safe Controller. 
  • HMI: Creation of HMI displays, HMI dynamic and static shapes / objects and faceplates, migration of displays from old releases to the new ones, etc.
  • The engineer makes sure the scope and schedule are understood and followed. 
  • Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group.
  • Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline and other engineering disciplines.
  • Reports progress and technical problems and / or changes to project lead engineer or Project Manager.
  • Responsible for the implementation of assigned projects
  • Travel Internationally Europe and outside Europe to customer required at a yearly average of 50%
  • Flexibility is required

 

 

 

Education/Qualifications

•           Bachelor / Master of Science Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Preferred specializations: Automation and Computers, Informatics, Mathematics, Cybernetics, Electronics. 

•           Up to 2 years of project experience in the industry

•           Knowledge of Industrial Automation technologies; PLC Programming/HMI Programming/ Electrical Design; System administration and configuration

•           Advanced knowledge of written and spoken English (Min B2/C1)

Any other European language skill is a plus (French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, German)
