As a Receiving Clerk, you play a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly carefully checking, recording, and organizing every delivery that arrives. Your precision and commitment ensure every department has what they need to create exceptional stays for our guests, turning simple moments into unforgettable experiences.
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
- Verify incoming deliveries — Inspect all incoming shipments for correct quantities, product quality, expiry dates, and compliance with purchase orders.
- Record and document receipts — Create accurate Goods Received Notes, update receiving logs, and ensure all delivery documentation is properly filed.
- Maintain inventory accuracy — Post received items into the inventory system promptly and reconcile physical stock with system records to prevent discrepancies.
- Coordinate discrepancies — Investigate shortages, overages, or damaged items and work closely with Purchasing, Suppliers, and Stores to resolve issues.
- Prepare daily receiving reports — Issue timely daily receiving summaries and communicate key updates to relevant departments.
- Audit daily receipts — Review previous day’s deliveries for accuracy, proper documentation, and compliance with purchasing and quality standards.
- Support stock control — Assist with monthly inventory counts, verify stock movements, and help maintain proper storage practices to ensure smooth operational flow.
