We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Equipment Operator to join the Team to responsible for operating an engine to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(IPE Factors: Impact & Innovation)

  • Checks Engine before putting into service at the beginning of the shift

  • Operate Engine in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life

  • Identify and report faulty equipments, damages, and safety concerns to Supervisor immediately.

  •  Load and unload products from trailers using forklift and other material handling equipment.

  • Store the products in proper places in warehouse.

  • Transport products to and from warehouse and distribution centers.

  • Deliver products to various units in safely and timely manner.

  • Sort, pack, wrap, tie and label products as per company procedures.

  • Weigh products and record weight and other data in product labels.

  • Move and load hazardous wastes under direction of supervisor.

  • Clean work area and equipment regularly by removing empty pallets, wood and plastic.

  • Follow company standards and legal regulations to ensure safe and positive work atmosphere.

  • Maintain forklift equipment by troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, recommending repairs and performing routine pre and post inspections.

  • Maintain material handling equipments by recharging, cleaning, oiling, refueling and other necessary actions, and record all information on log sheet.

  • Study production schedule to determine material requirements, movements and deliveries.

  • Record information regarding movements of supplies, materials and finished products.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Someone with:

  • High school diploma with minimal experience in an industrial environment

  • Requires at least two years of Truck driving or similar work experience in a commercial environment.

  • Must have complete understanding of operating Trucks.

  • Must have a Truck driver’s license.

  • Requires basic English/French language skills.

  • Physically fit and able to pass full medical examination.

  • Must be available at odd hours for pickup and delivery of persons and items.

  • No color blindness, good eyesight and hand eye coordination.

  • Understands safety regulations, safe working procedures and safe materials handling procedures and follows safety and work instructions.

  • Understands and observes safety requirements for driving Truck s within a disciplined environment.
