Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for leading the production area within the Nove Mesto plant and ensuring safe, stable and disciplined daily execution. The role owns  shop floor performance across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Productivity and People, translating plant priorities into clear operating routines, strong leadership behavior and measurable business results.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations, including setting priorities, facilitating Tier meetings, and driving performance across shifts and production lines.
  • Ensure execution of the production plan, customer commitments, capacity requirements, and operational standards.
  • Maintain an active presence on the shop floor (Gemba), remove operational barriers, and support rapid and effective problem-solving.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety requirements, EHS standards, and foster a safe working environment.
  • Strengthen shop floor discipline, 5S, visual management, and adherence to standardized work.
  • Promote continuous safety improvement through Good Catch initiatives, Near Miss reporting, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Drive improvements in quality and process stability through Quality at Source, FPY, RTY, and reduction of defects and customer complaints.
  • Lead root cause analysis and ensure implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage customer delivery performance, including schedule adherence, backlog recovery, and lead time improvement.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics to ensure material readiness and resolve supply constraints.
  • Develop and execute recovery plans to mitigate performance or delivery risks.
  • Manage productivity, cost performance, and capacity readiness, including labor efficiency, overtime, and conversion costs.
  • Lead workforce planning, production ramp-up activities, and capacity optimization.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities and lead initiatives with measurable business impact.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and structured problem-solving.
  • Address performance gaps and establish clear expectations, responsibilities, and accountability.
  • Perform all other duties related to the agreed scope of work as assigned by the direct supervisor.
  • Comply with the procedures, policies, and requirements of the Integrated Management System.
  • Perform work in accordance with International Trade Compliance (ITC) requirements.
  • Work in accordance with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S methodology.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of operational standards with a focus on customer satisfaction, company culture, and continuous improvement.
  • Actively submit and support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  • Comply with environmental protection policies and contribute to sustainable business practices.

Personality requirements and skills

- II. level university degree
- English language - minimum level B2
- knowledge LEAN, ERP system
- excellent communication skills- Microsoft Office - Advanced- 5 of years of experience

The anticipated salary range for this role Slovakia is between 44 394€ to 55 493€gross [per year (based on a full-time working week)/per hour] and reflects the range applicable in that jurisdiction. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation and benefits. Where applicable, a comprehensive overview of the full benefits package and any additional compensation will be provided during the recruitment process in accordance with local legal requirements. Compensation is determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria, including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.

This role may be performed in multiple jurisdictions.
