About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to support the strategy for Armada's small form factor (SFF) device ecosystem within the Armada Edge Platform (AEP). You will help execute the benchmarks used to qualify new partner devices, and support how Armada, Armada partners, and customers manage large fleets of these devices and application lifecycle in a Hub and Spoke model. 

This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role for a product manager early in their career. You will work under the guidance of senior product and engineering leaders, apply established methods and frameworks to well-defined assignments, and build sound judgment on structured problems while partnering with hardware, engineering, and partner teams to bring new SFF devices onto the platform. 

 

Location. This role is office-based at our Bellevue, Washington office. 

 

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Device Onboarding & Qualification 

  • Support the onboarding of select partner SFF devices onto the AEP platform, under the direction of senior product management 
  • Assist in defining and executing benchmarks and qualification criteria used to evaluate new SFF devices, escalating open questions to senior team members 
  • Partner with hardware and engineering teams to assess device compatibility, performance, and readiness for production 

Fleet Management Strategy 

  • Support the development of how Armada, Armada partners, and customers manage large fleets of SFF devices 
  • Help document and communicate the Hub and Spoke architecture, as defined by senior product leadership, in which SFF devices serve as the Spoke and Armada Galleon or hyperscale public cloud serves as the Hub 
  • Translate fleet management requirements into detailed product plans, user flows, and acceptance criteria, with guidance from senior product management 

Cross-Functional Execution 

  • Work daily with engineering, design, and QA to deliver product milestones for device onboarding and fleet management on time and with quality 
  • Support engagement with partner device manufacturers, customers, and field teams to gather feedback and help validate product requirements 
  • Support product launches with documentation, go-to-market inputs, and enablement in coordination with sales and marketing 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field (or equivalent experience); 0-2 years of experience in product management, engineering, or a related technical role (internship experience considered) 
  • Exposure to Kubernetes-based or containerized solutions (through coursework, internships, or projects), ideally involving small form factor (SFF) devices 
  • Foundational understanding of distributed systems, edge computing, or infrastructure software concepts 
  • Demonstrated ability to execute well-defined tasks with attention to detail, and to seek guidance appropriately on ambiguous or complex problems 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with technical and business audiences 
  • Familiarity with agile environments and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and Figma (through coursework, internships, or work experience) 
  • U.S. Citizenship required 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to hardware or device qualification benchmarking (e.g., through coursework, internship, or personal projects) 
  • Interest in or coursework related to hub-and-spoke or fleet management architectures for edge devices 
  • Familiarity with Armada Galleon or hyperscale public cloud platforms 
  • Exposure to hardware-integrated products (IoT devices, sensors, ruggedized compute)

Compensation

For U.S. Based candidates: To ensure fairness and transparency, the starting base salary range for this role for candidates in the U.S. are listed below, varying based on location experience, skills, and qualifications.

In addition to base salary, this role will also be offered equity and subsidized benefits (details available upon request).
