SITEC - Configuration Management Lead - MacDill AFB
Responsibilities
Peraton requires a Configuration Management Lead to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3 EOM.
This position is located in Tampa, Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
- Reviews and approves improvements to the CM Plan and ensures delivery by Configuration Management Specialists.
- Tracks, validates, and reports on the training and operational readiness of personnel in support of ServiceNow (SNOW) transition.
- Drives the strategic integration of Change, Configuration, and Resource workflows into the ServiceNow (SNOW) platform, representing the critical path for the enterprise ITSM modernization.
- Provides foundational Asset and Configuration Item (CI) mapping to support the onset and execution of the enterprise Zero Trust Architecture.
- Ensures Configuration Management Specialists maintain current build documentation for each service.
- Oversees and ensures updates of service/configuration items build documentation occur no less than every 60 calendar days, or as directed by the Government.
- Oversees the accuracy of configuration data entered/uploaded and maintained in the CMDB.
- Oversees the creation, maintenance, and updates of logical service models.
- Ensures CM records are maintained for directed configuration items.
- Participates in SOCOM Change Advisory Board (CAB), as required.
- Reviews and approves additional attributes for service/standard drift capability.
- Oversees service and inter-service configuration item relationships.
- Establishes and implements process interfaces to Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Asset Management processes.
- Reviews and approves execution of appropriate authorization controls for modifying configuration items.
- Reviews and approves execution of procedures for verifying the accuracy of configuration items, adherence to the CM process, and identifying process deficiencies.
- Reviews and approves significant SIE infrastructure changes to ensure impacts to configuration management data are properly addressed.
- Requests, reviews, and confirms CM Reports that are in compliance with USSOCOM policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.
- Reviews and approves updates and changes to CM Reports.
- Oversees the creation, deployment, and maintenance of infrastructure as code process for onboarding and offboarding applications within the multi-cloud environment.
- Streamlines configuration management activities.
- Provides configuration management planning.
- Defines provisions for configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits.
- Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into CIs.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience
- DoD TS/SCI clearance
