Billing Operations Specialist

About the Role 

For the operational backbone of our order to cash cycle, we are looking for a highly motivated and by nature detail-oriented Billing Operations Specialist who can independently support billing processes and who can assist in managing billing and collections, provisioning, and billing support functions across multiple financial systems. This role will be focused on a few areas, spending the beginning of each month on provisioning tasks, the middle of each month on billing support tasks, and the end of each month on invoicing tasks.

Location - Hybrid in the Philippines  

What You'll be Doing 

• Process and monitor invoices, ensuring accurate service start and end dates for revenue recognition accuracy 
• Review contracts for non-standard terms and invoice accordingly 
• Support timely collection of payments and assist with client outreach in non-payment cases 
• Assist in managing accounts receivable, including cash application and collections monitoring 
• Work with customers and our Sales team to address non-payment and other collections issues 
• Ensure the company's standard invoicing templates are in place for every customer 
• Assist with invoicing operations through Salesforce, supporting KPI tracking to ensure opportunities are efficiently processed and revenue recognition timelines are met 
• Research and resolve account discrepancies 
• Provide supporting documentation for audits 
• Handle highly confidential information with discretion 
• Work within our ticketing system (Zendesk) responding to customer billing queries 
• Manage the creation and configuration of user accounts for new clients, ensuring all necessary features and permissions are accurately assigned 
• Monitor and maintain user accounts, including role assignments, permissions, and access rights. Handle requests for account modifications, ensuring accuracy 
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

About You  

• You are experienced in Accounting and Finance with familiarity with GAAP and basic revenue recognition standards 
• You are action-oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills and a customer service mindset 
• You are a hero in multitasking, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines 
• Your superpower is solving problems with a consistent attention to detail 
• Teamwork is your nickname, but you can also work independently 
• Experienced with ticketing software (preferably Zendesk) 
• Salesforce and NetSuite experience preferred 
• Proficient in Excel 
• Fluent in English
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus
