Hitachi Energy. is seeking an experienced Industry Segment Sales professional to drive revenue growth and market share within a specific industry segment by identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals for Hitachi's diverse portfolio of solutions.
How you'll make an impact
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to a designated industry segment, aligning with Hitachi's overall business objectives.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the assigned industry segment, including prospecting, lead generation, and market research.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers at target accounts.
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand customer challenges and propose Hitachi solutions that address their specific requirements.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure profitable deals and achieve sales targets.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including pre-sales, product development, marketing, and customer service, to ensure seamless customer experience and solution delivery.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and regular updates on sales activities and progress.
- Represent Hitachi at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote brand awareness and generate leads.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering,
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive sales experience, with a proven track record of exceeding sales quotas within a specific industry segment (O&G, Pulp Paper, Mining, transportation).
- Strong understanding of the designated industry segment's challenges, trends, and business drivers.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
- Strategic thinking with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently as required by the business.
- Fluency in English.
