About the Role

The Pricing Excellence mission is to maximize financial performance and marketplace health across all cities in Argentina through strategic levers. The team owns the design and execution of pricing strategies, navigating complex macroeconomic conditions—such as high inflation and FX devaluation—while ensuring a well-balanced marketplace for both riders and drivers. With a north star of sustainable growth and operational excellence, the Pricing Lead ensures our financial commitments are met today while positioning the business to thrive tomorrow.

By integrating corporate investment strategies into everyday pricing frameworks, you will provide the analytical rigor, strategic guidance, and marketplace stewardship needed to maintain financial discipline without compromising customer experience. You will play a central role in shaping how each city performs, transforming volatile market variables into structured, competitive advantages.

What the Candidate Will Do

  1. Steer Regional Pricing Strategy: Coordinate and execute the pricing strategy for all cities in Argentina, balancing real-time marketplace conditions with macroeconomic factors like inflation and FX devaluation.
  2. Lead & Coordinate Pricing Talent: Guide and mentor team members through complex pricing analyses, insight gathering, and data-driven decision-making processes.
  3. Integrate Investment & Strategy: Seamlessly blend corporate investment strategies into local pricing models to optimize unit economics and marketplace health.
  4. Measure, Report & Iterate: Establish a rigorous feedback loop by tracking the performance of pricing decisions, reporting on deviations versus expected outcomes, and leading retrospectives to drive continuous optimization.
  5. Enable Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Operations, Finance, and leadership teams to coordinate regional pricing actions, resolve strategic trade-offs, and ensure cohesive business execution.
  6. Translate Complexity into Action: Break down ambiguous macroeconomic challenges and marketplace dynamics into clear, executable pricing frameworks and measurable outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Macroeconomic & Marketplace Judgment: Proven ability to assess trade-offs across demand, supply, and economics under volatile market conditions (inflation, FX shifts), prioritizing actions that protect P&L performance.

  • Analytical Leadership: Experience guiding teams through structured data analysis and translating insights into clear, actionable pricing structures.

  • Accountability & Iteration Mindset: A strong track record of monitoring post-implementation performance, analyzing deviations, and running retrospectives to constantly refine strategies.

  • Bias for Execution: Comfort making calibrated, high-stakes pricing decisions in fast-moving environments, even when dealing with incomplete data.

  • Influence Without Authority: Builds trust with cross-functional stakeholders through clear financial reasoning, data-backed arguments, and reliable follow-through.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Data Analytics: Mastery of spreadsheets is a MUST; proficiency in SQL is highly preferred to extract data and audit complex pricing models.

  • P&L & Marketplace Expertise: Deep understanding of two-sided marketplace dynamics (supply/demand balance) coupled with direct experience managing or heavily influencing P&L lines.

  • Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to align regional operations, finance, and corporate leadership behind pricing choices.
