Role Purpose 

The Senior Engineer II, User Experience EUC Serves as the global owner for End User Computing (EUC) platforms, responsible for the strategy, engineering, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise workplace technologies. 

 This role acts as the single authority for EUC platform architecture and engineering, ensuring solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business and user experience needs. 

 The role complements the User Experience EUC Lead by owning the platform and engineering layer, enabling consistent delivery of end-user experience across regions. 

 

Responsibilities: 

1. Act as the global authority for EUC platforms across all regions  

  • Own EUC services covering:  
    • Windows devices 
    • Enterprise mobility 
    • Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms 
    • Endpoint engineering 
    • broader EUC ecosystem, including but not limited to solutions such as Threat Locker 
  • Own the full-service lifecycle: 
  • strategy → roadmap → design → implementation → operations → continuous improvement  
  • Ensure global scalability while supporting regional operational and compliance needs 
  • Supports regional operations by resolving platform-level incidents and implementing long-term fixes. 
  • Responsible for platform implementation and technical decisions, aligned to experience requirements defined by the UX function. 

 

  1. Endpoint Engineering & Architecture
  • Own global endpoint architecture for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices 
  • Lead engineering standards across:  
    • Windows platform lifecycle 
    • Endpoint configuration and compliance baselines 
    • Patch, vulnerability, and device lifecycle management 
    • Drive zero-touch provisioning and automated endpoint operations 

 

  1. Microsoft Workplace Platform (M365)
  • Own the engineering and reliability of Microsoft 365 services:  
  • Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive 
  • Ensure platform stability, adoption, governance, and cost optimization 
  • Drive integration between identity, endpoint, and collaboration services 

 

  1. Security, Compliance & Risk (EUC Scope)
  • Ensure EUC platforms align with enterprise security requirements 
  • Own remediation of endpoint-related risks, including:  
    • Privilege misuse 
    • Misconfigurations 
    • Vulnerability exposure 
    • Drive secure-by-design engineering:  
    • Device hardening 
    • Conditional access 
    • Endpoint protection 
    • Privileged access enforcement 

 

  1. Automation & Platform Excellence
  • Eliminate manual operations through automation:  
    • Zero-touch provisioning 
    • Policy-driven remediation 
    • Self-healing endpoints 
    • Own monitoring and observability:  
    • Endpoint health 
    • Compliance posture 
    • Platform performance 

 

  1. Decision Authority & Governance
  • Act as the final decision authority for:  
    • EUC architecture 
    • Platform standards 
    • Tool selection and engineering approach 
    • Enforce global standards across regional IT and service providers  
    • Govern engineering quality, consistency, and long-term platform sustainability 

 

  1. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for major EUC platform issues 
  • Partner with:  
    • UX Lead (experience & service design) 
    • Cybersecurity (risk & control) 
    • Infrastructure & Cloud (platform dependencies) 
    • Regional IT Operations 
    • Translate business priorities into platform capabilities 

 

  1. Vendor, Cost & Performance Ownership
  • Own EUC platform cost, consumption, and licensing optimization 
  • Ensure efficient use of Microsoft 365 and endpoint-related investments 
  • Hold vendors accountable for:  
    • Engineering quality 
    • Platform performance
