As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a retail location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to concerns, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to shoppers, employees, and visitors. - Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales floors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and report observations according to established procedures.
- Maintain a professional presence while assisting with access control, store opening and closing activities, and/or other security-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
