We are seeking an Application Architect to join our centralised IT organisation within VOIS. This role plays a critical part in defining and governing the application architecture across the entire VOIS landscape, supporting over 17,000 colleagues globally. The individual will shape a consistent, scalable, and secure application architecture model that enables business growth across multiple locations while ensuring alignment with Vodafone Group standards. The role also supports early-stage initiatives by reviewing technical solutions, guiding architecture‑compliant designs, and enabling informed decision‑making for new and evolving applications.What you’ll do
Define and own the application infrastructure architecture across the VOIS organisation, promoting adoption and alignment across business and technology stakeholdersDevelop and maintain a VOIS‑wide application architecture model that supports scalability, consistency, and long‑term growthReview and approve solution designs for new and existing internal applications to ensure compliance with agreed architecture standardsSupport service transition and early‑stage projects through architecture guidance, effort estimation, vendor evaluation, and implementation approach recommendationsEnsure application architecture alignment with network, infrastructure, and Vodafone Group IT architecture standardsCollaborate closely with infrastructure, security, and implementation teams to embed security, resilience, and performance by designOwn and maintain the Application Lifecycle Management tool, ensuring accurate visibility of all applications in use across VOISWho you are
An experienced application architecture professional with a background in global IT or telecommunications environmentsSkilled in designing reference architecture models for complex, enterprise‑scale application landscapesExperienced in integrating AI‑driven capabilities, including Generative AI, Large Language Models, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation, into core business applicationsKnowledgeable in cloud‑native and scalable architectures using platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, with experience in microservices, containerisation, and operational pipelinesFamiliar with recognised architecture and IT service frameworks such as TOGAF, COBIT, ITIL, and eTOMConfident in translating business needs into technical blueprints that deliver measurable value and alignment with organisational objectivesExperienced in designing secure, compliant, and resilient end‑to‑end solutions in collaboration with information security teamsHolds a relevant technical degree and brings at...
