CT Technologist - Mount Sinai Brooklyn - Radiology - Part-time - 0.4 fte - Night

To perform CT Scan studies of anatomical areas as ordered/directed, according to established standards and procedures. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Duties include: (but not limited to) perform radiologic examinations on patients referred by physicians in accordance with radiologic protocols.  
• Must be competent routine diagnostic, operating room, and portables. 
• Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to insure quality diagnostic CT images. 
• Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment in order to ensure the equipment is calibrated and working properly before any patient study is performed.
• Injects patients with radioactive material as per the physician’s order following the prescribed protocol.
• Observes all department documentation policies by filling in all appropriate logs, manuals, charge documents, as well as, reporting equipment problems in order to comply with regulatory agencies.
• Performs quality control, quality assurance and safety tests. Follow radiation safety guidelines to comply with ALARA principle.
• Maintains and develops and retrieves patient films and electronic date for Radiologist interpretation
• Orders patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses 1-day prior to use.
• Receives radiopharmaceutical on day of delivery and verifies proper receipt as per policy and procedure. Verifies activity level of the does prior to administration.
• Must be able to evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability. 
• Must be comfortable working in an Emergency Department setting.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• NY State DOH License and registration certificate in Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Computed Tomography (CT)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• 1 years minimum experience, including OR procedures and portables
• Proficiency in Fluoroscopic / portable radiology / OR procedures
• Knowledge of McKesson PACs and image cast Radiology Information systems (RIS)
• Experience in digital & computed radiography

The salary range for the role is $55.52 - $64.61 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
