We’re a strong team that looks out for each other.Your roleWe, at Khatabook, are looking for a Business Analyst - BRE to manage, enhance, and optimize our Business Rule Engine (BRE) for lending and risk decisioning. The role will focus on translating credit and risk policies into system logic, driving continuous improvements, and working closely with product, risk, and technology teams to ensure seamless implementation and governance of decision frameworks.What would you do at Khatabook?Own end-to-end management of the business rule engine, including rule creation, validation, testing, and deployment.Translate credit policies into executable system rules in collaboration with product and engineering teams.Monitor BRE performance across approval rates, risk outcomes, and portfolio quality, and recommend rule optimizations. Creating BRD and testing functionalities of the BRD Management System platformPerform in-depth analysis on funnel metrics, rejection reasons, ATS, and risk cohorts to improve decision quality.Support UAT and post-deployment monitoring for all policy and rule changes.Build dashboards and MIS to track BRE effectiveness, stability, and business impact.Evaluate experiments and policy pilots to assess impact before full-scale rollout.What are we looking for?1-2 years of experience in analytics.Technical capabilities: Proficient in SQL and Excel.Strong working experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlikview, Power BI, Cognos, BO, Pentaho, etc. )Strong understanding of statistics and experience with statistical analysisStrong quantitative abilities, distinctive problem-solving, and excellent analysis skillsStrong organizational, communication, presentation and project management skillsA background in statistical modeling and experience with statistical/scripting tools such as R, Python, Spark, SAS, or SPSS is a plus.Prior experience in credit risk analytics or policy management is a plus.Sign in to applyShare this job About CompanyAbout KhatabookWe exist to empower India’s 60 Million strong MSMEs.
