As an Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, helping to maintain a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control activities, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. - Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating matters as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials, maintain visitor logs, and help support authorized entry to the property.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while communicating relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or applicable license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
