Specialist, Shareholder Services Representative II

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Specialist, Shareholder Services Representative II to join our BNY Wealth team. This role is located in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide service and sales support across mutual funds, brokerage/managed accounts, and annuity/insurance business to help advisors focus on client development and sales efforts
• Support new account onboarding by preparing and processing account documentation and assisting clients through the onboarding process
• Respond to complex client, shareholder, and fund-related inquiries by phone, email, and other channels with timely, accurate, and high-quality service
• Process complex shareholder account updates and resolve operational or service issues by working directly with clients, transfer agents, and external partners
• Serve as an escalation point for junior team members, provide guidance on complex issues, and may review the work of other staff
• Research and resolve complex operational and shareholder issues, routing unresolved matters to the appropriate team in accordance with documented procedures
• Support compliance-related activities by ensuring procedures and regulatory requirements are followed and assisting management with related tasks
• Provide regular updates on issue resolution and outstanding matters, identify process improvement opportunities, and contribute to overall team objectives and efficiency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1–2 years of customer service experience required; financial services experience preferred
• Series 6 and 63 licenses required
• Series 7 must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• Strong service orientation with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication, systems, and organizational skills
• Flexible team player with the ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
