CO-OP/INTERNS- INDUSTRIAL NEW POSITION

Job Summary:**

VALEO NORTH AMERICA is seeking motivated and enthusiastic CO-OP/INTERNS to join our industrial team. This new position offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to various manufacturing and operational projects within a leading automotive supplier.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Assist in the optimization of manufacturing processes, including lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
* Support the implementation and maintenance of industrial automation systems and equipment.
* Participate in data collection, analysis, and reporting to identify areas for efficiency improvement and cost reduction.
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams on new product introductions and process validation.
* Conduct time studies, work sampling, and other industrial engineering analyses.
* Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
* Contribute to problem-solving activities and root cause analysis for production issues.
* Assist with facility layout planning and material flow optimization.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support industrial operations.

Job Qualifications:**

* Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Strong academic record.
* Basic understanding of industrial engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
* Prior experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) or simulation software is a plus.
* Must be able to commit to the duration of the co-op or internship program.
