Job Summary

Global Supply Management is a strategic and execution-focused organization responsible for enabling NetApp customer success through disciplined supply execution, factory engagement, and proactive risk management.  As a member of the Global Supply Team, this role will establish structured factory engagement and governance routines, strengthen EMS and sub-tier supplier partnerships, and drive timely issue resolution to support material availability, schedule fidelity, factory readiness, and business continuity.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage supply planning principles to create and communicate strategic supply plans to meet key business objectives
  • Responsible for dynamic supplier forecasts and commits, and collaborate cross functionally with suppliers and internal team members to make adjustments as needed
  • Create and monitor consumption
  • Utilize systems and tools to manage supply, communicate issues, and drive efficiency
  • Work with contract manufacturers and internal stakeholders to close supply gaps
  • Enhance and maintain relationships and lines of communication with internal and external partners
  • Establish and maintain operating policies and procedures to achieve production schedules, quality standards and operational costs
  • Provide external and cross-functional leadership for problem resolution and facilitate continuous improvements, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Communicate risks and issues which may impact desired business objectives
  • Ensure projects adhere to the company processes and initiate process improvements as needed
  • Establish and drive a structured factory engagement and execution governance model to improve alignment, accountability, operational discipline, and decision-making across factory execution activities
  • Standardize factory commit cadence, execution reviews, and escalation processes to ensure timely visibility, ownership, and closure of supply, build, and shipment risks
  • Strengthen direct engagement with EMS partners and sub-tier suppliers to improve factory readiness, constraint management, recovery planning, execution performance, and business continuity
  • Serve as a strong factory liaison across multiple factory levels, enabling clear communication between NetApp stakeholders, EMS leadership, factory operations teams, and critical sub-tier suppliers

Education

  • General understanding of ERP/MRP and shop floor control systems
  • Technical skills in supply planning, inventory management, and production scheduling
  • Focus on continuous improvement
  • Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.
  • Experience establishing operating cadence, governance routines, escalation paths, and execution metrics with contract manufacturers, EMS partners, or factory operations teams
  • Ability to influence and engage across multiple factory levels, including site leadership, production control, materials, planning, manufacturing, and supplier management teams
  • Strong execution rigor with the ability to convert factory risks, constraints, and commitments into clear action plans, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in English
