Position Summary
We are seeking a remote CCNP-level Cisco Network Engineer who can lead complex network environments, make independent design decisions, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients. Ability to work independently to solve complex client issues, provide support, and perform after hours updates. This position is strictly for senior-level network engineers only. This is not an entry-level or mid-level role. Applicants without senior-level Cisco experience and real-world production ownership will not be considered. This position will be an after-hours support role as needed or required.
Key Responsibilities- Technical ownership of complex, multi-site customer networks
- Network architecture design, optimization, and lifecycle planning
- Advanced troubleshooting across routing, switching, firewall, and WAN technologies
- Leadership on network refreshes, migrations, and security initiatives
- Direct client interaction as a senior technical authority
- Client-facing responsibilities
- Participation in scheduled after-hours maintenance
- Shift Requirements: Will change on a weekly basis as needed.
- Be able to work 8.00am to 5.00pm EST as needed for training, meetings, configuration, etc.
- Be able to work after US EST work hours as needed to perform configuration upgrades, provide remote support, and other duties as assigned.
- Cisco CCNP (Enterprise or Security) – Required
- 6+ years hands-on Cisco networking experience in production environments
- Expert-level understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and WAN technologies
- Advanced experience with Cisco CLI across routers, switches, and firewalls
- Cisco SD-WAN, capabilities for troubleshooting & policy creating
- Cisco ISE, capabilities for design, implementation, troubleshooting & policy creating
- Checkpoint firewall management
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues independently
- Check Point firewall design and administration
- Meraki enterprise deployments and management
- Site-to-site and remote access VPN design.
- HPE OpsRamp Software – working knowledge, ability to configure alerts, responses, etc.
- Network security architecture and best practices
