Role Overview
As a Cloud Advisory Senior Manager (Cloud Advisory job family), you will lead the design and governance of end-to-end data center infrastructure architecture across compute, storage, and networking. You will define scalable, secure, and cost-efficient architecture approaches for AI-enabled cloud environments, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and business/operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and govern enterprise infrastructure architecture for hybrid and/or cloud data center environments, spanning:
- Compute (virtualization, container/platform foundations, capacity and workload architecture)
- Storage (performance, availability, data protection, lifecycle and governance)
- Networking (connectivity, segmentation, routing, performance, and resilience)
- Define architecture standards, patterns, and reference models across compute, network, and storage domains to accelerate delivery and ensure consistency.
- Ensure security-by-design and compliance alignment by embedding security controls, risk management practices, and governance guardrails into architecture decisions.
- Shape AI-ready infrastructure strategies, enabling scalable deployment patterns for AI/ML workloads (e.g., performance, elasticity, and operational readiness).
- Partner with stakeholders across IT, security, operations, and engineering to translate business objectives into actionable technical architecture and roadmaps.
- Lead architecture reviews and governance forums, driving decisioning, exception management, and continuous improvement.
- Drive cost optimization and operational efficiency through architecture-level principles, including capacity planning, automation opportunities, and FinOps-aware design.
- Mentor and lead technical teams, promoting best practices, reusable assets, and a strong architecture culture.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience as an infrastructure/cloud architecture leader (senior/lead/manager level).
- Strong end-to-end knowledge of compute, storage, and networking and how they integrate in enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of security architecture and governance practices (e.g., identity, segmentation, encryption, resilience, compliance alignment).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and govern architecture standards, patterns, and reference architectures.
- Track record of delivering or advising on large-scale cloud/infrastructure transformations with measurable outcomes (scalability, reliability, cost, and time-to-value).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, including building and guiding architecture communities of practice.
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Experience with AI/ML infrastructure concepts (data, compute acceleration, performance, and operational support models).
- Hands-on familiarity with cloud platforms and common enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Experience driving automation/standardization to improve delivery consistency and operational effectiveness.
