Main responsibilities:

  • Support the day to day operations of the Engineering and Maintenance Departments. 
  • Take responsibility for the proper and efficient operation of all electronic devices in the Plant.  
  • Support the milk and culture plant processing through a complete understanding of the Modicon PLC.  
  • Be the Lead in executing all Electronic troubleshooting and repairs.  
  • Be available off shift for Electronic support and troubleshooting.  
  • Develop and maintain a world class database of all plant PLC programs
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of all plant Electronic repairs and upgrades. 
  • Drive operational improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity by staying current in the field.  
  • Utilize Lean Manufacturing Concepts to maximize improvements.
  • Develop a commitment that strives on continuous improvement, promotes trust, strengthens team work and does not stray from Safety or Quality. 
  • Develop an unwavering commitment to the Electrical Industry Code of Conduct and Ethics. 
  • Adheres to all Electrical Industry Wiring Standards; Local and State.
  • Adheres to Union Bargaining Agreements Guidelines. 
     

We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

  • 2 year College Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or Equivalent Progressive Field Experience.  
  • 2 plus years in a food manufacturing/production or industrial environment. 
  • 5 plus years as a progressive PLC technician. 
  • Extensive experience across multiple PLC Platforms 
    • Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix 
    • Rockwell SLC500/MicroLogix 
    • Modicon Quantum 
  • Experience in programming HMI’s. 
    • Rockwell PanelView/PanelView Plus 
    • Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE, Network Distributed 
    • Wonderware Intouch 
  • Must have the ability to install and upgrade operating systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and programming VFD’s.  Preferably Allen Bradley. 
  • Thorough and extensive knowledge in electrical controls and drives. 
  • Must have the ability to electronically troubleshoot down to the board level. 
  • Must have extensive knowledge in Control Instrumentation using 4-20 ma. 
  • Knowledge in Electrical Codes and Ordinance a plus. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office PC programs. 
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles
