Job Description
As a Security Officer Screening Compliance in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government health and family services location, you will help support a welcoming, orderly environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and communicating professionally with staff and the public. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. - Provide customer service to visitors, clients, and staff by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Screen individuals and belongings entering the government services location in accordance with established procedures, using screening equipment as assigned.
- Verify visitor access requirements, provide directions, and communicate entry procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
- Respond to incidents, prohibited-item findings, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, public spaces, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
