Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Supports other consultants as needed. Participates in community education opportunities regarding breastfeeding, research projects, speaking engagements, and other company committees.
- Keeps supplies clean and orderly according to policy and reports any needed supplies or educational materials to the supervisor.
- Greets all patients in a friendly, professional manner.
- Exemplifies AdventHealth’s core values of Keep Me Safe, Make It Easy, Love Me, and Own It through behavior.
- Conducts rounds on the maternal/infant units and other units with lactating mothers, evaluating and encouraging the nursing dyad by providing support and professional advice.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Skill and proficiency in applying highly technical principles, concepts, and techniques that are central to the profession [Required]
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing [Required]
Education:
- Associate's of Nursing [Required]
- Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Work Experience:
- 1+ acute care hospital [Preferred]
- 2+ maternity or newborn experience [Preferred]
Licenses and Certifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) [Required] OR International Board
- Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) [Required]
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$32.76 - $57.47Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
