Job Description
As a Security Guard Experienced Unarmed Patrol in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while contributing to a welcoming environment. - Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed, and assist with maintaining orderly entry and exit procedures.
- Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and daily documentation while communicating relevant observations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
