Global High Net Worth (GHNW) is a strategic growth segment within Manulife focused on delivering bespoke insurance and wealth solutions to high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients across global markets. The business is undergoing a multi-year transformation to modernize its operating model, data, and technology platforms, with Asia and Middle Eastern markets (Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai) playing a critical role in growth and execution.

The Director, GHNW Strategy & Transformation will be tasked to support GHNW strategic planning and drive the execution of priority transformation initiatives across markets and functions. Acting as a central coordination point across Strategy, Transformation, IT, Operations, Finance, Data and local market teams, the role ensures strategic initiatives are clearly defined, sequenced, governed and delivered with measurable business outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of GHNW strategic and transformation initiatives across key markets, including Hong Kong, Singapore and Bermuda, ensuring delivery against agreed milestones, business outcomes and benefits realization.
  • Support the GHNW strategic planning process by helping define strategic priorities, initiative roadmaps, market sequencing, performance measures and implementation plans across GHNW markets and functions.
  • Translate strategic priorities into structured, executable plans, including initiative definition, sequencing, ownership, governance, KPI tracking, benefits tracking and progress reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Strategy, Transformation, IT, Operations, Finance, Actuarial, Data and local markets to drive aligned execution and resolve interdependencies.
  • Identify and resolve delivery risks, interdependencies, and structural gaps
  • Establish and maintain governance structures (e.g., SteerCo, working groups) to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Support GHNW business and performance management by developing KPIs, management reporting and review processes to improve visibility, ownership and delivery discipline across strategic initiatives.
  • Support ad-hoc strategic projects and transformation priorities as required to enable GHNW growth, operating model evolution and cross-market alignment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy, transformation, program delivery, finance, actuarial, consulting, operations or business management, preferably within life insurance, wealth management or financial services.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives end-to-end with measurable outcomes.
  • Strong strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities, with ability to translate broad business priorities into structured plans, clear analysis and practical execution steps.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with ability to interpret financial, operational and market data, identify trends and issues, and translate insights into decision-support materials.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across business, operations, and technology functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Global High Net Worth (GHNW), high net worth insurance/wealth, or adjacent segments preferred

  • Experience working across Asia markets; Middle East a plus
  • Experience operating in a global delivery model, including managing time zone differences and cross-cultural collaboration
  • Prior consulting experience is an asset
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and business writing skills; able to prepare concise, executive-ready materials for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong execution mindset with ability to translate strategy into delivery
  • AI-enabled; comfortable leveraging GenAI tools to improve productivity and delivery outcomes
  • Working knowledge of IT, data, and AI topics in a modern enterprise environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
