Senior Manager, Process Engineering

On-sitePosted Jul 29, 2026

Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped millions of people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

We're looking for a Senior Manager, Process Engineering to lead a team of process engineers driving process development, qualification, industrialization, and continuous improvement for our hardware products. You'll combine deep hands-on process expertise in miniature electronics assembly (gluing, fixturing, automation, process validation) with strong people leadership — setting team direction, coaching engineers, and representing manufacturing across cross-functional programs from NPI through mass production ramp.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of process engineers — setting priorities, performance expectations, and development plans.

  • Define and drive the process engineering roadmap across new and sustaining programs, aligned with company and manufacturing readiness priorities.

  • Lead process development, validation, and design transfer from EVT/DVT through PVT and mass production ramp, through direct team leadership and factory engagement.

  • Drive Design for Manufacturability/Assembly with mechanical, electrical, product, quality, and operations teams to influence decisions early.

  • Lead complex troubleshooting, failure analysis, and corrective action (DOE, SPC, 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) across prototype, pilot, ramp, and sustaining production.

  • Own process engineering's contribution to NPI builds — readiness reviews, line preparation, issue escalation, and closure of action items.

  • Ensure successful factory ramp-up through readiness planning, process capability development, and issue recovery with internal teams and manufacturing partners.

  • Establish process capability and measurement discipline (Cp/Cpk, GR&R, MSA) and maintain core process documentation (PFMEAs, control plans, work instructions).

  • Drive yield improvement and operational efficiency by prioritizing high-impact issues and scaling solutions into robust standards.

  • Build strong relationships with global factory partners and suppliers, and communicate process readiness, risks, and tradeoffs to senior stakeholders.

What we would love to see

  • Strong people leadership experience — setting direction, delegating, developing talent, and holding a high bar for execution.

  • Proven consumer electronics manufacturing experience with miniature electronics assemblies (adhesives, mechanical assembly, flex/PCB, tooling, automation).

  • Deep hands-on expertise in process development, characterization, validation, and industrialization in high-volume manufacturing.

  • Strong track record in root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions and supporting NPI builds and ramp-up.

  • Ability to influence across engineering, operations, quality, and external manufacturing partners, converting data into practical priorities.

  • Clear written and verbal English communication; willingness to travel to development sites, factories, and suppliers.

Typical profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or a related technical field.

  • Typically 8–12+ years in manufacturing/process engineering, including meaningful leadership of engineers or cross-functional technical teams.
