Tech Lead, Software Development Engineering

About your role:

At Fiserv, we are committed to delivering innovative financial technology solutions that help businesses and consumers move money and information securely and efficiently. As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through modern test automation practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support new client onboarding, data conversion testing, and application modernization initiatives while leveraging cutting-edge AI-assisted development tools.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright.

  Create and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and end-to-end business workflows.

  Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

  Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and quality assurance.

  Perform functional, regression, integration, and data validation testing.

  Support modernization efforts by validating rewritten and migrated applications from legacy .NET platforms to modern technologies, including Blazor.

  Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and custom LLM prompts to improve automation efficiency and test design.

  Identify, analyze, and track defects through resolution while maintaining high-quality standards.

  Participate in code reviews, framework enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience you'll need to have:

Experience that would be great to have:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.

  4+ years of hands-on experience in Automation Testing using Playwright.

  Strong programming experience in Python.

  Experience working with .NET technologies, preferably Blazor.

  Hands-on experience with API Testing (REST/SOAP).

  Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.

  Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

  Strong understanding of STLC, defect management, and test methodologies.

  Experience validating data migrations, data conversions, and modernization initiatives.

  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
