Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide compassionate nursing care to our residents, under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse. Every day, you will assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you will exhibit genuine compassion for patient well-being, an understanding of your critical role in ensuring their comfort, and the patience to explain procedures, answer questions, and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Utilizes the nursing process to assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive plan of care for the patient/family which promotes optimal patient outcomes
  • Participates in meeting the educational needs of co-workers and patient/family, utilizing principals of teaching/learning
  • Delegates nursing care based on knowledge of staff qualifications/competency and patient care requirements
  • Consistently demonstrates flexibility, accepts preceptor roles, teach/learn new skills, picks up extra shifts
  • Completes documentation according to policy and policy timelines

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited school of nursing
  • Experience in the area of public health or home health nursing
  • Licensed Practical Nurse: ND
  • Basic Life Support - CPR
  • Driver's License: ND
  • Auto Insurance
