Base pay range
$119,000.00/yr - $171,000.00/yr Meta's Public Affairs AI Campaign is one of the company's most strategic and visible initiatives — and it's scaling fast. The campaign is already in motion with a strong team driving execution across multiple workstreams. What we need now is a experienced program manager who can match that pace: someone who can plug into an operation that's moving quickly and make it run tighter, faster, and smarter as we expand across markets and functions. As a Program Manager on the AI Campaign, you'll embed within the campaign's existing program management team, bringing operational rigor to a complex, cross-functional effort that spans communications, marketing, policy, research, legal, and product. Your job is to make a high-performing team even better — building the systems, driving the rhythms, and holding the connective tissue that lets campaign leaders and functional experts do their best work. This is a role for someone who gets genuine satisfaction from making a team hum — who is energized by bringing order to complexity, can prioritize across strategic goals and operational details based on impact and urgency, and defaults to collaboration over hierarchy. You don't need to own the strategy — you need to own the execution infrastructure that makes strategy real. You thrive when you're the reason a complex operation stays organized, on-track, and one step ahead. You're the person who sees around corners, builds structure before chaos arrives, and takes pride in being the force multiplier that elevates everyone around you.To succeed here, you need an entrepreneurial spirit, demonstrated organizational skills, and a natural drive to bring people together in ways that maximize collective impact.Program Manager, Public Affairs — AI Campaign Responsibilities:
- Partner with the AI Campaign team to build and maintain the cross-functional operating rhythms of the campaign — including meetings, escalations, reviews, reporting cadences, and communication channels — ensuring tight coordination across communications, marketing, policy, research, legal, and product teams
- Support campaign leadership in translating strategy into execution: building roadmaps, maintaining workstream trackers, managing timelines, and ensuring clear ownership and accountability across the campaign
- Drive the campaign's day-to-day status reporting, performance tracking, and budget management — surfacing risks early, flagging dependencies, and keeping leadership informed with the right level of detail at the right time
- Develop and scale working models, processes, and systems that improve cross-functional campaign collaboration and efficiency as the campaign grows — from planning frameworks to decision-making templates to internal communication tools
- Serve as connective tissue across the campaign's internal functions, ensuring workstreams are aligned, information flows freely between teams, and nothing falls through the cracks
- Support the preparation and coordination of leadership reviews, steering committee meetings, and other senior stakeholder touchpoints — ensuring materials are clearly framed and follow-ups are tracked
- Help build repeatable playbooks and best practices for campaign program management that can scale as we expand to new issues, markets, and workstreams
- Contribute to developing the broader Public Affairs Campaign Program Management function
- 6+ years of related strategy, operations, consulting, or program/project management experience, including managing complex, cross-functional workstreams
- Experience building, optimizing, and scaling programs and processes within established teams experiencing growth or transformation
- Comfortable operating as a trusted partner to senior leaders — influencing without authority, being firm with requests, ensuring follow-through, and communicating shifting priorities clearly across stakeholders
- Experience working in complex, high-pressure environments where priorities shift quickly and ambiguity is the norm
- Strong organizational skills with a track record of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, maintaining attention to detail, and delivering information in a highly organized manner
- Written and verbal communication skills — able to distill complexity into clear, actionable updates for diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, drive alignment, and foster cooperation across teams you don't directly manage
- Experience coordinating across functions you don't directly manage — rallying partners through clarity, persistence, and shared purpose
- Experience planning and executing high-profile events or convenings that require tight cross-functional coordination on compressed timelines
- Experience in public affairs, public policy, advocacy, or communications — helpful for context but not required
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Track record of plugging into existing teams during growth or transformation and accelerating their output
- History of building structure and process in environments that didn't have it
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Familiarity with (or curiosity about) the AI policy landscape and the ability to quickly develop working fluency in new subject matter
- Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder environments — e.g., consulting, government, corporate strategy, political campaigns, agency account management
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Comfortable with campaign-speed execution — whether that background comes from politics, advocacy, corporate launches, or something else entirely
