About the Role:

The Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating and maintaining press machines to produce high-quality components. This position requires a strong attention to detail to ensure that all products meet strict quality standards and specifications. The operator will be responsible for setting up machines, monitoring their performance, and making necessary adjustments to optimize production output. Safety and adherence to operational protocols are paramount to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Machine Operator contributes directly to the overall productivity and success of the manufacturing facility by ensuring smooth and continuous machine operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating machines or similar manufacturing equipment.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and production instructions.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle machinery safely.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Corrugated experience operating a Flexo Folder Gluer or Rotary Die Cutter.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance and minor machine repairs.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press machines according to production specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor machine performance and product quality throughout the production cycle.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine function.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and report any quality issues to the supervisory team.
  • Maintain accurate production records and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

The required skills in manufacturing and press machine operation are essential for setting up and running machines efficiently while maintaining product quality. Daily work involves using technical knowledge to adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues to prevent production delays. Safety skills are applied continuously to ensure compliance with workplace regulations and protect oneself and coworkers. Preferred skills such as preventive maintenance and quality control enhance the operator's ability to contribute to smoother operations and higher product standards. Effective communication and problem-solving skills support collaboration with team members and supervisors to address challenges promptly.
