It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.We’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.Join us and let’s shape the future of data.Job Description＜採用ポジション＞　環境・安全衛生マネージャー (Environmental Health & Safety Manager)＜職務内容＞　環境・安全衛生（EHS）は、Western Digital のEHSプログラム、及び、法令順守に向けた取り組みをリードし、労働安全衛生、及び、環境に配慮した職場環境の構築を担います。 本ポジションは、日本法人の経営層、製品開発部門、生産技術部門、ファシリティやHRなどのコーポレート部門と密接に連携し、Western Digitalのグローバル基準およびサステナビリティ方針に沿ったEHS文化の醸成と事業運営への統合を推進していただきます。 　具体的な業務は以下の通り。1. EHS部門のリード 日本法人における環境・安全衛生プログラム全体を統括し、Western Digitalの方針、事業所の優先事項、日本の法令要件との整合を確保する。 2. 法令遵守およびガバナンスの確保 労働安全衛生、環境保全、廃棄物管理、化学物質管理などに関する日本の関連法令、許認可、届出義務の遵守をリードする。 3. リスクマネジメントおよび事故防止の推進 事業所全体の危険源特定、リスクアセスメント、リスク低減施策をリードし、労働災害・環境事故・コンプライアンスリスクの未然防止を図る。 4. 労働安全衛生プログラムの管理 機械安全、協力会社安全、エルゴノミクス、作業環境測定、緊急対応、健康リスク管理などのEHSプログラムを統括する。 5. 化学物質・環境管理のリード 化学物質管理、危険物管理、廃棄物管理、排水・排ガス管理、汚染防止などの環境管理プログラムを運営し、確実なコンプライアンスを維持する。 6. 緊急対応・事業継続性の強化 緊急対応計画、訓練、化学物質漏洩対応、消防対応の調整を主導し、事業継続計画（BCP）、危機対応、復旧体制の強化を支援する。 7. マネジメントシステムおよび監査対応 ISO 14001、ISO 45001、社内EHSマネジメントシステムの運用・改善を推進し、監査準備、指摘事項の是正、コンプライアンス保証を実施する。 8. 関係部門との連携 日本法人の経営層、製品開発部門、生産技術部門、ファシリティやHRなどのコーポレート部門と協働し、EHS要件を事業運営・プロジェクト・組織判断に組み込む。 9. 継続的改善とパフォーマンス向上の推進 EHS指標のモニタリング、トレンド分析、改善機会の特定、是正予防措置の推進を通じて、コンプライアンスと運用レベルの向上を図る。 10. 人材育成とEHS文化の強化 コーチング、教育、タレント育成、後継者計画、リーダーシップの巻き込みを通じて、組織全体のEHS意識・責任感・文化を強化する。The Manager, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) – Japan is responsible for leading and driving the site EHS strategy, regulatory compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. This role partners closely with site leadership, operations, engineering, facilities, HR, and corporate functions to integrate EHS excellence into business operations, support operational resilience, and strengthen a proactive safety culture aligned with Western Digital’s global standards and sustainability commitments.Key Job ResponsibilitiesLead the site EHS function Provide overall leadership for environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure alignment with Western Digital objectives, site priorities, and Japan regulatory requirements.Ensure regulatory compliance and governance Direct compliance with applicable Japanese laws, permits, licenses, and reporting obligations related to occupational safety, industrial health, environmental protection, waste, and chemical management.Drive risk management and incident prevention Lead site-wide hazard identification, risk assessment, and control programs to reduce operational risk and prevent injuries, environmental incidents, and compliance gaps.Manage occupational safety and health programs Oversee EHS programs such as machine safety, contractor safety, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, emergency response, and workplace health risk control.Lead chemical and environmental management Manage chemical safety, hazardous materials control, waste governance, wastewater, air emissions, and pollution prevention programs to ensure disciplined operational compliance.Strengthen emergency preparedness, response, and business continuity Lead site...
