The Director, Product Propositions & Distribution Enablement will support and drive the execution of Group product proposition development and distribution enablement initiatives across Health & Protection, Wealth/HNW and Retirement solutions.
The role is focused on translating proposition and distribution enablement strategies into practical market-ready assets, sales concepts, toolkits, playbooks and go-to-market support for LBUs and distribution channels.
The Director will work closely with LBU Product teams, Customer & Marketing, Agency and Partnership teams to ensure new and existing propositions are clearly positioned, easy to activate, and supported by effective implementation follow-through.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Proposition Strategy Execution

  • Translate Group proposition priorities into structured workplans, proposition briefs and execution roadmaps.
  • Support the development and repackaging of product propositions to address priority/underpenetrated segments and market-specific distribution needs.
  • Prepare proposition frameworks, sales concepts and playbooks across H&P, Wealth and Retirement, ensuring they are practical and scalable.
  • Use market, demographic and distribution insights to develop proposition concepts.
  • Coordinate cross-market inputs and consolidate best practices, case studies and proof points into reusable proposition assets.

Distribution Enablement and Go-To-Market Delivery

  • Work with LBUs to support end-to-end go-to-market execution, including target segment definition, channel suitability, product storytelling, launch support and sales enablement requirements.
  • Partner with Group- Agency and Partnership to support channel priorities with matching propositions, e.g. channel-specific sales approaches, campaigns, bundling concepts and activation materials.
  • Track execution progress against agreed launch plans, identify bottlenecks, and support follow-through with relevant stakeholders.
  • Establish feedback loops to capture distributor and LBU input and convert feedback into improvements to proposition design and sales concepts.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate day-to-day collaboration across Group Product, LBU Product, Customer & Marketing, Distribution and other relevant functions to support proposition delivery.
  • Prepare working materials, e.g. decision papers, meeting notes, market updates.
  • Ensure alignment between product design, customer needs, distribution requirements and market execution realities.

Capability Building and Best Practice Deployment

  • Develop practical toolkits, templates, training materials and examples to help LBUs strengthen product storytelling and go-to-market execution.
  • Organise knowledge-sharing sessions to share successful proposition, bundling and sales activation examples across markets.
  • Support consistent standards for proposition briefs, value proposition articulation and launch activation materials.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Actuarial Science, Finance, Economics or another relevant field.
  • 10+ years of experience in life insurance product management, product propositions, product strategy, distribution enablement, marketing, consulting or related roles.
  • Good understanding of life insurance products across protection, wealth, HNW, retirement, savings or investment-linked propositions.
  • Strong exposure to insurance distribution, with practical understanding of agency and bancassurance in Asian markets.
  • Experience working with regional or multi-market stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to convert strategic concepts into practical execution plans, sales materials, toolkits, presentations and implementation deliverables.
  • Good knowledge of customer needs, market trends, regulatory considerations and commercial drivers affecting insurance propositions.
