Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Quality Engineer.
What you’ll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining quality assurance process controls, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, design specifications and standards applicable to our products.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead root cause analyses stemming from quality notifications and customer complaints, from initial containment to validating the effectiveness of corrective actions, coordinating the participation of the multidisciplinary team.
Validate and manage warranties, claims, and quality notifications in accordance with DPPM's external policy and applicable corporate procedures.
Ensure compliance with key quality performance indicators (DPPM, IPPM, and Scrap) within your area of responsibility, promoting their implementation and monitoring across all functional areas involved.
Define, coordinate, and lead Scrap reduction projects in critical processes and equipment, using structured problem-solving methodologies to implement corrective, preventive, and systemic actions that improve process performance.
Ensure the timely and accurate recording of scrap in SAP system, guaranteeing the integrity and reliability of the information.
Manage the daily monitoring of nonconforming materials, ensuring the effective implementation of containment actions, including the identification, selection, segregation, and disposal of affected material, in coordination with production teams.
Define, together with the Manufacturing and Production areas, the methods for selecting, reworking, or disposing of nonconforming material, guaranteeing compliance with quality requirements. Ensure the correct identification, segregation, control, and traceability of nonconforming material, preventing its unauthorized use or shipment and ensuring customer protection.
Establish and maintain quality controls using the Control Plan as the primary tool, defining inspection and measurement methods, ensuring that equipment, instruments, gauges, and measuring standards are under metrological control for current and new products, processes, and projects.
Actively participate in the implementation, execution and maintenance of internal, process and product audits, analyzing results, managing improvement actions and promoting the continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.

DIMENSIONS: • Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC): Control and reduction of costs associated with non-conforming materials. • Supplier Parts Per Million (SPPMs): Monitoring and improvement of supplier performance in defective parts per million. • Defective Parts Per Million (DPPMs): Monitoring of defects in received materials and corrective actions to reduce them. • Scrap Percentage (%): Control of the percentage of material rejected due to non-compliance with specifications. • Quality Notifications (QNs): Recording, analyzing, and timely closure of quality notifications generated during receiving inspections. • Material Review Board (MRB): Participation in the disposal of nonconforming materials and definition of corrective actions. • Layered Process Audits (LPAs): Ensuring the execution and closure of audits in processes related to receiving inspections. • Personnel Management: Supervision, training, and development of the team.
