This role includes CONUS/OCONUS travel. During travel you will be eligible to receive domestic/international assignment benefits, allowances and/or premiums negotiated between Northrop Grumman and the customer.What You’ll get to Do:The candidate will provide direct technical support for the AN/TPS-78 Ground/Base RADAR system. In this role they will provide expert technical advice in the production, operation, training, maintenance and repair of TPS-78 systems.In addition, the candidate will: provide technical assistance to foreign and domestic Military customers in the setup, operation, troubleshooting and repairs of deployed TPS-78 systems.  The candidate can be called upon to provide remote support and/or on-site troubleshooting and repair in response to requests for technical assistance.  In response for these requests the candidate can be called upon to provide refresher training; documentation of the results of maintenance, troubleshooting and problem resolution actions.Roles and Responsibilities:Provide subject matter expertise on system operations, signal flow, electronics theory, troubleshooting, and fault isolationSupport engineering efforts related to the development, testing and analysis of upgrades, replacement or modifications in design and/or procedural use changes.Ensure other personnel are adhering to established procedures and schedulesAid in training and courseware/product developmentParticipate in testing and evaluation of TPS-78 system improvements and new software baselines, documenting test results and recommendationsParticipate in technical documentation review and modificationsPerform routine preventative maintenance on equipmentBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree and 8  years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience;Experience interpreting one or more of the following: Technical Drawings, Diagrams, Instructions, or SchematicsExperience with electrical safety procedures, hazardous material handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as Digital Multi-Meters (DMM's), oscilloscopes, power supplies. Network analyzers, power meters or break out boxesFamiliarity with System Integration Test and Evaluation and processes and procedures or equivalentMust have the physical ability to easily maneuver around equipment in test lab, lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds; this may include, lifting and moving heavy test equipment, cables, and radar system structures (legs, sand pads, etc.).Practical experience with maintenance processes and proceduresMust possess excellent Interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and flexibility with this position.Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office applications)General Networking skills preferably with CISCO equipment such as, setting up switches.System administration skills setting up computer networksAbility to support multiple shifts and CONUS/OCONUS travel.U.S. Citizenship and active/current U.S. Government Secret clearance are required.Preferred Qualifications:Military background a plusProficient at collaborating with customers and NGC counterparts to define, refine, and maintain...
