We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Enterprise Architect to drive strategic technology initiatives and ensure architectural alignment across BP PLC. This role is crucial for shaping our future IT landscape and delivering innovative, robust, and scalable solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and evolution of enterprise architecture strategy and roadmaps, ensuring alignment with BP's overall business objectives and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Drive the adoption of Agility core practices within architectural design and delivery processes to enhance responsiveness and speed to market.

  • Perform comprehensive business modelling to translate strategic goals into tangible architectural requirements and solutions.

  • Foster a culture of Creativity and Innovation, encouraging exploration of new technologies and approaches to solve complex business challenges.

  • Conduct in-depth Data Analysis and contribute to Data design principles to ensure data integrity, security, and effective utilization across the enterprise.

  • Proactively engage in Emerging technology monitoring, assessing their potential impact and value to BP, and recommending adoption strategies where appropriate.

  • Ensure robust Information Assurance practices are embedded in all architectural designs, safeguarding BP's data and systems.

  • Oversee Integration strategies and patterns, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability between diverse systems and applications.

  • Provide leadership and guidance in IT Management, optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness across the IT landscape.

  • Develop and refine IT strategy and planning, ensuring architectural decisions support long-term business growth and sustainability.

  • Champion Service operations and resilience, designing architectures that minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

  • Provide expert guidance in Solution Architecture, overseeing the design and implementation of complex business solutions.

  • Lead Systems Development Management initiatives, establishing best practices for system development and lifecycle management.

  • Act as a key Technical specialism resource, providing deep technical expertise in relevant domains to internal teams and stakeholders.

  • Conduct User Experience Analysis to ensure architectural decisions contribute to intuitive and effective user experiences for BP's employees and customers.
     

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or similar senior architectural role in a large, complex organization, preferably within the energy sector.

  • Demonstrated expertise in Agility core practices and their application in enterprise architecture.

  • Strong proficiency in Business modelling techniques and tools.

  • Exceptional Creativity and Innovation skills with a track record of implementing novel solutions.

  • Advanced skills in Data Analysis and Data design principles.

  • Extensive experience with Emerging technology monitoring and strategic adoption.

  • Deep understanding of Information Assurance principles and best practices.

  • Expertise in Integration strategies, patterns, and technologies.

  • Proven leadership in IT Management and IT strategy and planning.

  • Strong knowledge of Service operations and resilience best practices.

  • Highly skilled in Solution Architecture and complex system design.

  • Experience with Systems Development Management methodologies.

  • Possesses significant Technical specialism in relevant architectural domains.

  • Proficiency in User Experience Analysis and its application in architectural design.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) are a plus.
