Solution Architect, Labels & Packaging / Printing Expert
The Solution Architect for Labels & Packaging will lead the Graphics Experience, Labels & Packaging area within the Graphic Experience Department. This role will provide deep technical expertise in labels, packaging, and industrial printing, supporting customers, partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders with advanced solution design, application knowledge, and product demonstration capabilities.
The position is responsible for demonstrating our products and solutions in the Graphics Experience Center, showcasing real customer applications and highlighting the value of our labels and packaging printing portfolio. This role will help sales teams present the right value proposition, explain the technical advantages of our solutions, and show how our products can solve customer challenges related to production, quality, workflow, color consistency, automation, and efficiency.
This role will lead technical discussions, define end-to-end solution architecture, and translate customer requirements into scalable, high-value printing solutions. The focus will be on labels and packaging applications, including printing technologies, substrates, color management, workflow integration, finishing processes, quality requirements, and production optimization.
As a key technical leader within the Graphic Experience Department, this expert will lead customer demonstrations, proof-of-concept activities, technical evaluations, customer workshops, application showcases, and internal enablement related to labels and packaging solutions in the Graphics Experience Center.
The Solution Architect will work closely with sales, presales, product, delivery, service, and partner teams to ensure that proposed solutions meet customer needs and are aligned with business objectives. This position will help strengthen customer engagement, improve sales effectiveness, reduce technical risk, support business growth, and build internal knowledge and best practices across the Graphic Experience Department.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in labels and packaging printing applications.
- Strong knowledge of industrial digital printing technologies and production workflows.
- Advanced understanding of pre-press and graphics software.
- Experience with artwork preparation, file checking, proofing, RIP workflows, and print production readiness.
- Strong knowledge of color management, color consistency, calibration, and print quality control.
- Understanding of substrates, inks, finishing processes, embellishment, die-cutting, and packaging production requirements.
- Ability to design and explain end-to-end labels and packaging solutions, from artwork to final printed output.
- Experience leading customer demonstrations in a Graphics Experience Center, demo center, showroom, or similar environment.
- Strong customer-facing presentation skills, with the ability to demonstrate products and solutions clearly.
- Ability to support sales teams by translating technical capabilities into customer value and business benefits.
- Experience conducting customer workshops, proof-of-concept activities, application showcases, and technical evaluations.
- Strong solution architecture skills, including requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and solution recommendation.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, presales, product, service, delivery, and partner teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify technical risks and implementation gaps early.
- Excellent communication skills in both technical and business discussions.
- Ability to build internal knowledge, best practices, and enablement materials for the Graphic Experience Department.
The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $147,300 to $231,300 USD annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
