Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, we are looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer / Senior UI Automation Engineer to join our Industrial Automation Digital Organization. You will lead the development of modern automation frameworks for cloud-native SaaS products, driving end-to-end quality engineering through UI, API, integration, and automated validation.
Working as part of a collaborative Agile engineering team, you will design scalable automation solutions, strengthen CI/CD pipelines, adopt AI-assisted engineering practices, and partner with Product Management, Software Engineering, and Quality Engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality industrial digital solutions.
This role is contributing to the Process Automation – Automation Digital organization in Bangalore, India.

You will be mainly accountable for
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI, API, integration, and end-to-end automation frameworks using modern automation technologies, ensuring reliable validation of cloud-native SaaS applications and business-critical workflows.
- Drive engineering excellence by improving automation framework architecture, CI/CD pipeline integration, test reliability, performance validation, debugging, reusable engineering patterns, and overall software quality across the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Domain Experts, and cross-functional engineering teams to align automation strategies with business requirements, support release readiness, and ensure continuous delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- Mentor engineers, promote automation best practices, leverage AI-assisted and Agentic AI engineering approaches, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance engineering productivity, test coverage, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications for the Role
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 6–10 years of experience in Software Development, Test Automation, Quality Engineering, or related engineering roles, with expertise in enterprise application testing.
- Strong programming skills in C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript, with hands-on experience developing automation solutions using Selenium, Playwright, Protractor, or similar UI automation frameworks, along with API automation.
- Good understanding of automation framework architecture, software design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, web technologies, debugging techniques, release engineering, and modern software development practices.
- Experience working with Microsoft Azure, cloud-native applications, distributed engineering teams, AI-assisted development tools, and Agentic AI-based automation approaches is preferred. Azure certifications and performance engineering experience are considered an advantage.
- Exposure to performance testing, simulation-based validation, industrial software platforms, or complex cross-system business workflows is desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, mentoring, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence technical direction and continuously improve engineering quality.
