Who we are

By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

What you'll be doing

• Serve as the overall lead responsible for the successful execution and delivery of the contract.
• Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day interactions with the contracting authority's officials, ensuring effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
• Oversee the overall status of service delivery, proactively monitoring project performance, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure all contractual obligations are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with agreed quality standards and service level commitments.
• Lead project governance activities, including status reporting, issue resolution, change management, and executive-level communications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of IT services and project outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project execution, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and mitigate project risks while ensuring compliance with contractual, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
• Foster strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Mentor project teams and promote best practices in project management, governance, and service delivery.

What you'll bring along

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Professional certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
• Over 10 years of professional experience in project management, with a strong focus on delivering complex IT projects.
• Proven experience managing large-scale contracts and leading multidisciplinary teams in complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and service management best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including senior executives and customer representatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience in managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and quality assurance processes.
• A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality services and achieving successful project outcomes.
