The opportunity

Due to continued growth within our Telecommunications business, we are seeking an experienced Deployment Engineer Wireless to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of wireless telecommunications projects from design through to construction and integration. Acting as the key interface between engineering, design and field delivery teams, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with client requirements. Working across a range of wireless network deployment programs, you will play a critical role in driving project outcomes, supporting field teams and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
 Key responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating the delivery of wireless telecommunications projects through all stages of construction and deployment
  • Reviewing for construction drawings and completing constructability assessments
  • Preparing scopes of work and bill of materials for construction partners
  • Managing site readiness activities including permits, access requirements and material call offs
  • Supporting field teams with construction, commissioning, integration and technical issue resolution
  • Conducting site inspections, audits and quality reviews
  • Monitoring project progress and providing accurate reporting to key stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality and project management requirements
     

What we're looking for

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications Engineering, Construction or a related discipline
  • Minimum five years' experience delivering large scale wireless telecommunications projects
  • Strong experience across wireless design, construction and integration activities
  • Demonstrated experience working within Telstra network deployment programs
  • Knowledge of 4G and 5G technologies including Ericsson equipment
  • Experience preparing scopes of work, bill of materials and reviewing construction documentation
  • Understanding of commissioning, integration and SAED processes
  • Proven contractor and stakeholder management experience
  • Strong communication, problem solving and organisational skills
  • Commitment to safe work practices and quality project outcomes
