Your role
As a Senior System Architect, you will Lead system architecture definition for next-generation automotive power distribution modules. Drive system requirements, hardware/software partitioning, functional safety, diagnostics, network architecture and electrical power distribution design. Act as technical authority across customer, hardware, software, validation and manufacturing teams.
Responsibilities:
- Define system architecture and technical roadmap.
- Translate OEM requirements into system architecture.
- Create logical, functional and physical architectures.
- Lead hardware-software integration decisions.
- Drive Functional Safety (ISO 26262) concepts.
- Review power electronics and ECU designs.
- Define diagnostics and communication architecture (CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, UDS).
- Perform technical risk analysis and architecture tradeoff studies.
- Support customer reviews and technical audits.
- Mentor system engineers and technical leads.
Your background:
- 8+ years in automotive systems engineering/architecture.
- Strong ECU hardware knowledge.
- Power electronics and power distribution architecture.
- High-side/low-side drivers, MOSFETs, eFuses, relays, DC/DC converters.
- Automotive microcontrollers (NXP S32K, Infineon, Renesas, TI).
- CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet.
- UDS diagnostics, DTCs and service-oriented diagnostics.
- ISO 26262 Functional Safety (ASIL B/C preferred).
- Systems Engineering and requirement decomposition.
- SysML/UML architecture modeling.
- ASPICE awareness.
- Electrical load analysis, current paths and protection strategies.
- EMC/EMI and vehicle electrical architecture understanding.
- Verification and validation strategy definition.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with power distribution modules, BCM, Zonal Controllers, Smart Junction Boxes, Battery Distribution Units or Body Controllers.
- Experience with GM, Stellantis, Ford or VW programs.
- Polarion, Doors, Jira, EA/Cameo.
- Cybersecurity ISO 21434.
- AUTOSAR architecture understanding.
