Job Description
Maintains designated areas in a clean and aseptic condition.
Job Responsibility
- Removes and transports covered soiled linens from floors and chute repositories.
- Removes and transports soiled linens in a safe manner to reduce backups.
- Monitors Par counts for accuracy and verify the counts with delivery ticket
- Tracks accuracy of stock on carts, adjusting stock levels and reports shortages or overages to the linen conservation specialist and/or hospital supervisory staff.
- Monitors via callbacks from delivery points and random spot checks.
- Delivers covered clean linen to the floors and units/areas, according to schedule.
- Contributes to overall department efficiency by maintaining assigned equipment according to standards.
- Maintains equipment in good working order and appearance, free of dirt, dust, grime, etc
- Reports all damaged or inoperable equipment promptly. Does not hoard or hide equipment, as observed by the supervisor.
- Arranges and moves furniture, mattresses, equipment and supplies.
- Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Minimum of one (1) year previous housekeeping/laundry experience in a a healthcare environment, preferred.
