This is an opportunity to contribute to SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Planning, with a focus on both SAP Extended Service Parts Planning (eSPP) and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PP/DS). Together, these solutions help customers plan complex supply chains, optimize service levels, production resources, material availability, and operational execution across industries. You will work on business-critical planning capabilities used by customers with large service parts, manufacturing, warehouse, dealer, and distribution networks. Our roadmap includes modern SAP Fiori user experiences, advanced planning algorithms, forecasting, inventory planning, detailed scheduling, simulation, analytics, integration with SAP S/4HANA capabilities such as aATP, and the next wave of AI-assisted planning, optimization, and navigation. As a Senior Developer in our SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Planning team, you will: + Own the design, implementation, testing, and delivery of complex features across eSPP and PP/DS, with responsibility for quality, maintainability, performance, and long-term product standard compliance. + Apply your strong C background to analyze and evolve planning and optimization-related components, while also working with SAP technologies such as ABAP, SAP Fiori, CDS views, RAP, SQL, and SAP S/4HANA integration patterns. + Contribute to capabilities for service parts planning, production planning, detailed scheduling, forecasting, inventory planning, stocking and destocking decisions, simulation, mass maintenance, analytics, and integration with adjacent SAP solutions. + Drive technical concepts, architectural improvements, refactoring, automated tests, code reviews, root-cause analysis, and defect prevention for mission-critical private cloud products. + Collaborate closely with product owners, architects, quality engineers, product management, and development colleagues across locations to translate customer and roadmap requirements into reliable, scalable, and user-oriented solutions. + Act as a technical role model for less experienced developers by sharing knowledge, reviewing designs and code, and helping the team continuously improve engineering practices. + Help shape the next generation of planning capabilities, including AI-assisted planning experiences, Joule-based contextual assistance, embedded analytics, and modern SAP Fiori user experiences. **What you bring:** + A good to excellent university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Natural Sciences, or a related field. + Several years of professional software development experience, ideally in enterprise software, planning, optimization, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing-related domains. + A strong C background is required, including solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, debugging, performance analysis, and maintainable code design. + Experience with SAP technologies such as ABAP, SAP Fiori, CDS views, RAP, SQL, or SAP S/4HANA architecture is a strong plus; willingness to broaden your expertise across the SAP technology stack is expected. + Experience or strong interest in PP/DS, eSPP, Production Planning, Materials Management, service parts planning, detailed scheduling, or related supply chain planning processes. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex planning algorithms, business processes, and customer scenarios. + A senior mindset: ownership, technical leadership, high quality standards, clear communication, constructive collaboration, and the ability to guide others while remaining hands-on. + Fluent communication skills in English; German language skills are beneficial.
