Principal Radar Integrator Chief Engineer

The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a Principal Radar Integrator to serve as the Chief Engineer for radar development (level 6) on Air Proprietary 2, located in Berkeley, MO.
As a member of the Radar IPT for a major proprietary program, you will provide technical leadership and drive technical execution in the development of a new radar system.
You will be a primary technical interface to the program leadership, the radar supplier, and the customer. Additionally, you can expect to drive compliance with program and company processes as well as recommending areas for process improvement
Position Responsibilities:
Drives technical excellence throughout all Radar development activities
Provides technical leadership and ensures common practices across programs
Serves as the primary technical interface with the Radar Supplier
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Works closely with program managers, program chief engineers and other Boeing Teams to ensure mission success and prompt resolution of anomalies
Chairs and participates in IPT Engineering Review Boards (ERB), Design Reviews, Root Cause/Corrective Actions (RCCA), etc.
Provides mentoring and coaching to Radar Engineers
Performs Technical Lead Engineer (TLE) functions for assigned mentees
Drives best practices to meet programs' cost, schedule, quality and technical objectives
Captures lessons learned and best practices for implementation on future programs
Researches and identifies potential capability, hardware and architectures with providing recommendation for investment
Resolves complex problems impacting completion of program milestones
Coordinates with Boeing Executive Leadership and Customer Leadership on Technical Issues and Strategy
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Travel:
Able to travel 10% of the time
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
20+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s degree OR 18+ years of work related experience with a Master’s degree OR 15+ years of work-related experience with a PhD
Experience in technical leadership
Experience in Radar systems analysis, modeling simulation, design and testing, involving airborne or SAR applications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master degree in Engineering
Experience in an avionics, electrical, and/or a mission systems role
Experience working on major development programs
Experience working in a lead role responsible for planning, organizing, and leading personnel to solve complex technical problems
Experience developing solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems, requiring ingenuity and innovation
Experience in preparing and evaluating proposals
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and/or MSOSA tool suite
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience with Open Architecture system design

Education:
Principal Chief Engineer: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
