Team Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead a team of hardware design engineers by fostering a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Set clear team goals aligned with organizational objectives and business priorities.
- Provide technical leadership for the development of complex networking hardware platforms.
- Lead design reviews, architecture reviews, and root-cause investigations.
- Review schematics, PCB layout constraints, stack-ups, simulation results, and validation plans.
- Mentor engineers in advanced board design, signal integrity, power integrity, and system-level engineering.
- Own the hardware development lifecycle from concept through production release.
- Collaborate with system architects to translate product requirements into robust hardware solutions.
- Ensure a smooth transition from development to manufacturing.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including System Engineering, RF, Software, FPGA, Validation & Verification (V&V), and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Own hardware development schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Drive Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) initiatives.
- Lead recruiting, onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and professional development of team members.
- Oversee laboratory activities, board bring-up, signal integrity measurements, and product validation efforts.
- Ensure comprehensive electrical, functional, thermal, and environmental testing.
- Lead root-cause analysis and resolution of hardware failures and field issues.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
· 10+ years of hardware development experience.
· 5+ years of engineering management or team leadership experience.
· Proven track record of delivering networking products from concept through production.
Mandatory Technical Expertise
· High-speed Ethernet switches, routers , PCB design, validation and SerDes interfaces.
· 100G Ethernet systems ,PCIe,PAM4 signaling technologies.
· Timing ,synchronization, and clock distribution systems.
· DDR memory subsystem design and optimization,.
· Power distribution network (PDN) architecture and design.
· Hardware debugging and root-cause analysis.
· Manufacturing support and product sustainment.
· Signal integrity (SI) and Power Integrity ( PI ) analysis and review
Management Experience
· Direct management of hardware development teams.
· Experience managing teams of at least four engineers.
· Resource planning, project execution, and performance management.
· Strong coaching, mentoring, and team-building skills.
Global Engineering Experience
· Experience working within multinational engineering organizations.
· Direct collaboration with engineering teams across the United States, Israel, Europe, and Asia.
· Experience managing projects involving geographically distributed teams.
