Under general direction, the position is responsible for designing, implementing, and directing our talent acquisition initiatives, managing primarily a team of exempt individual contributors of all levels. The incumbent is responsible for improving efficiency and effectiveness of the recruitment process and serving as a valuable brand ambassador for J.B. Hunt. This position helps with budgeting, reporting, planning, and strategy for recruiting and hiring for their team.Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
•Creates, implements and facilitates development programs for talent acquisition staff
•Anticipates and plans for recruitment needs in partnership with business management
•Consult with hiring managers regarding advanced recruiting strategies and propose business solutions that will help meet client needs
•Develop proactive recruiting strategies by providing insight to leadership on market trends within the industry, competitor practices and talent supply and demand
•Develop, maintain, and reinforce recruitment best practices and strategies that support the goals and direction of the organization, including a targeted and robust Diversity recruiting approach
•Ensure hiring and recruiting procedures are compliant with law (state and federal) and company policy
•Partner with HR Business Partners and/or hiring managers to identify staffing needs and workforce planning strategy
•Develop and support diversity recruiting efforts within the organization
•Advise hiring managers on pay/salary and recommend recruiting strategies and tactics that support the goals and direction of J.B. Hunt
•Hire, develop and facilitate high performance and engagement of primarily exempt staff
•Works directly with department managers to ensure organization's policies, procedures and practices on recruiting matters are followed
•Manage recruitment and employment programs; implement improvements to staffing processes
•Administer individual and team performance metrics; managing staff and monitoring individual performance and development.
•Assess the capabilities and workload of the Talent Acquisition team to determine the best utilization of resources to meet the business needs
•Partner with other internal departments, business units and senior management to ensure the effective implementation of recruiting policies
•Collaborate as needed with HR Centers of Expertise and HR Operations to ensure that Talent Acquisition services are delivered effectively and efficiently
•Research, recommend and determine advertisement scope and budget allocation for various recruitment sources
•Serves as extension of department lead for approvals on items that require escalation
•Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Mininum Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Communications, Psychology, or related field and 1 year of related experience; or 3+ years combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, or related field, with 3 -5 years of education, experience and training. 1+ years of management experience.

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
